2011

The 2010 vintage was one of the driest on Waiheke in recent years resulting in intensely concentrated fruit flavours at harvest time. Favourable growing conditions meant that very little fruit thinning was required to achieve fruit in optimum condition.

2011

The 2011 vintage consisted of a beautiful flowering season which resulted in a bumper crop. The fruit yielded resulted in lower alcohols than last year but showed a beautiful balance of texture, concentration and flavour.

2011

The 2012 vintage started unusually cold and wet with lots of nervous winemakers waiting to see what the season would deliver. Thankfully a dry and long, warm autumn followed.  This allowed excellent ripening weather and gave extended hang time for the grapes resulting in flavourful, ripe, concentrated fruit at harvest time.

2011

The summer of 2012/2013 was extraordinary in NZ history with significant parts of the country experiencing drought conditions.  The seemingly never-ending stable weather was dry, warm and calm providing spectacular winegrowing conditions. The low soil moisture meant the fruit did not flesh out to the size we see in most years but resulted in perfect, ripe fruit being harvested. The first wines from this outstanding vintage should be available from the end of 2013.
